Used Fire Trucks On Ebay

Can I buy a fire hose & use it if it is ever needed?
I live out of the city. the last time that there was a fire out here it took the fire truck 30min from the time I called. I am sure that the neighbors that were closer to the burning home had already called the Fire Dept so who knows how long it REALLY took. We only live about 2 miles from the city line & there are a lot of houses out here. I am just afraid that it could be us or one of my neighbors. I have already looked on ebay they have them. I just don’t want to buy one use it then get in trouble for it. I know it dosen’t make any sense you you & me but what would the county or fire dept do.
What are the other parts that I should look for & possible purchase to make sure it works well.
Thanks in advance.
I obviously won’t be using it by myself… I would hope that the men in our community would come together & assist as most of them are related to each other.
FYI: I live in South Texas
I wouldn’t expect to practice though it might be a ideal.
Yes you can.
You will need hose, a nozzle and a water source. Depending on your water source you may need a hydrant wrench or some kind of pump.
The negatives to your plan are that you could be injured or if you use a hydrant you need to make sure the FD still has the ability to use that hydrant on their arrival. Also some water companies get upset if civilians use their hydrants in a non-emergency so practicing with them is out for you.
