How do I get around the ebay ad when checking mail?

I just figured out that the delay I’m experiencing is directly linked to the ads that are being displayed at the top of my mail box. I don’t like it one bit. How do I get around it, other than quitting Yahoo?

The answer to your question, Chris F, is that there is nothing whatsoever that you can do to get around this ad. In spite of knowing all about the problem, YAHOO OBVIOUSLY DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR USERS! Of course they need to have adverts to maintain the free service but this one is well out of order.

This flash powered advert puts a huge load on the processor of (mainly older) PCs with its fancy graphics that we could all do without. Yahoo have received THOUSANDS of complaints about this. There are also countless threads here on Yahoo Answers and ALL HAVE BEEN IGNORED. The design of this ad COULD be modified if somebody bothered but that would be “Customer Service” – something Yahoo know nothing about!

Yahoo and eBay are both massive companies and they clearly think that they are bigger than their users.

The best solution is to CHANGE TO HOTMAIL, as I did. I have also stopped using eBay in protest AND written to them to tell them so.

I RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM DO THE SAME AS ME!!!
