will i get caught for selling unauthorized ebook on ebay?

if i get caught, what would happen?
the ebay will give 3 warnings? is this true?

I am a VERO member of eBay (verified owners program) and I have been able to kick out some eBay members after catching them selling our articles as ebooks on eBay.

As a VERO member, you report to eBay auctions that infringes on your copyright or trademarks, and eBay will remove the auction listing. If the seller will continue to sell the item, after 3 warnings, eBay kicks them out.

For example, there’s this seller who was stealing our articles and packaging them as ebooks. I bought a copy and found that it was an exact word for word copy of the article of one of our writers, yet the seller claimed it as his own (he put his name in the byline and put his “publishing” company as the publisher). He was selling several articles, and I bought each to verify that they are ours (some are my own articles). After getting caught, eBay kicked him out. He emailed and called me begging to withdraw the VERO complaint, promising that he will not sell our articles again. I did not withdraw the complaint and I have never seen him again on eBay nor have I seen auctions for those articles.

I am not going to tell you how I usually catch those stealing our materials and selling them on eBay. Suffice to say that if the copyright owner goes through the whole VERO application process to become a VERO member, then it means they are serious in pursuing those who infringe on their property.

What you are doing is to steal from the copyright owners. Think for yourself, learn how to write articles and create your own ebook – and then sell that on ebay.

I must tell you though that I derive extreme pleasure from reading emails of the sellers we have been able to kick out groveling and begging to withdraw our complaint. These emails usually make my day.
