Instead of trying to find a wholesaler and then selling whatever they will offer to you, the best place to start is by finding a great product and then looking specifically for a wholesaler that can help you.

In thinking about your particular product, it’s best not to start by thinking about selling the same thing as everyone else. If they are genuinely selling the real deal they should have some documentation to prove it, don’t feel bad about asking to see it. The last thing that you want to do is advertise a real brand name only to be left with a cheap rip-off.

- If you are planning to place a large order with your wholesaler you should first ask for a sample of the goods. This small sample will provide you with the ability to find out if the supplier packages goods well, delivers speedily and, of course, if the items are actually what they say they are. With this small sample set you will also be able to test the water on eBay to see if the product will sell well.

- Do some research about any eBay wholesale suppliers that you are considering. Hopefully someone else on the internet will have used them and been kind enough to write a review. If you can’t find anything then be brave and ask the company for some references. If they are legitimate they won’t hesitate to provide them to you.
